One aha away

Built between a toy and a theorem.

Spheromino began as a spreadsheet full of stacked spheres — a hunt for which sets of segments actually pack into a tetrahedron.

What started as hand-checked geometry became a small solver: it validates shapes on the FCC lattice, canonicalises solutions across the tetrahedron's twelve rotations, and generates puzzles with a single, unique answer. From a handful of packable sets it produces thousands of tasks, graded from Beginner to Genius.

The plan is simple and open: keep the puzzles free to play and print, explain the science plainly, and let anyone build a set from beads, a 3D printer, or a bag of balls. A curated brochure of the hardest tasks supports the work — everything else stays open.
